I walked to the barn and fed Rebel her usual grain and carrots and watered her. I went to the tack room and grabbed her grooming equipment, saddle + pad, and the bridle. I picked out her feet, curry combed, used the hard and soft brushes, face brush and finally brushed her mane and tail. I braided her tail and put her saddle pad on. She jerked and I calmed her. I then took the saddle and placed the saddle on her smooth, shiny back. I did the girth up tight, but not too tight and grabbed the bridle. I took her halter off and put pressure between the ears. She put her head down gracefully and I placed the bit in her mouth and the crown over the ears. I did the two straps up and pulled her forelock out of the bridle. I walked her out to the arena and did some ground work. I mounted her and walked her twice each direction and jogged and trotted her once both ways. I cantered her around one and a half laps each way and took her out to the trail for a cool out. We walked half the trail and turned around. I led her back to the stall and took her bridle off and put her halter back on. I took her saddle and saddle pad off and placed her blanket over her back. I put her tail in a wrap and wrapped her leg in boots. I placed her in her paddock and filled her water bin and threw a fresh flake of hay into the paddock. I went back to the barn to clean up and polish her tack.
