Dawn rode Naima from the stables into the bright outdoor jumoing ring, though the stadium-like lights were still glowing it was around midnight and the other trainers and riders were probably asleep. Naima was wide awake from a day of rest and ready to begin her training. Dawn tyed the filly to the railing and fixed the jumps to an appropriate height. A very high height for a filly to begin with - but she had no doubt that Naima could clear the jump with ease, all she had to teach her was form.
They begun with a simple, but elegant courtsey circle, Dawn directed Naima toward the first jump and the filly nickered with anticipation. She was itching to show her talent, ready to begin training with a fresh and shining start. They soared over the jump, but just as Dawn had expected her horse's form was not up to par. As they landed Naima found the right pace and readied herself for the next jump - again they sailed abd Dawn tightened her legs on the filly's sides, gently forcing her to lock her knees in. Which improved her form and made the landing much more graceful.
They kept at the jumps with fevor- Naima never seemed to tire of flying over the jumps, each time her form and jumping becoming more skilled. The pair truly were becoming more then horse and rider, they were fluid and understanding of one another. They were one and dawn was overjoyed at their first success. They would continue, it was inevitable. Naima had definately shown where her talents lie today - she was at home in the ring.
